PARTIAL HOSPITALIZATION PROGRAM
Day-level hospital care providing comprehensive psychiatric services five to seven days per week — as a step-down from inpatient treatment or a step-up from intensive outpatient care.
The Partial Hospitalization Program at Lawren Healthcare Services provides the highest level of outpatient psychiatric care available — a full-day, structured clinical program that mirrors the intensity of inpatient hospitalization while allowing clients to return home in the evenings. PHP is designed for individuals whose symptoms require daily clinical oversight but who are stable enough to live safely in the community. Clients attend programming five to seven days per week, typically for six or more hours per day, receiving individual therapy, group therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management, psychoeducation, and crisis planning — all coordinated by a multidisciplinary treatment team. PHP serves two primary populations: those stepping down from an inpatient psychiatric unit who are not yet ready for less intensive outpatient care, and those whose condition has escalated to the point where standard outpatient treatment is no longer sufficient to maintain safety and stability.
